The Doctor Visits That Changed Everything

There was a season where it felt like we were constantly taking our children to the doctor because of recurring skin infections, especially impetigo. As parents, it was exhausting watching our kids deal with discomfort while trying to figure out where they were repeatedly being exposed.

That experience caused us to start paying much closer attention to the environments children interact with every day, especially playgrounds and other high-touch play areas. The more we looked around, the more we realized how much dirt, grime, buildup, and neglect existed in many of the spaces families regularly use.

It became clear to us that playground cleanliness is often overlooked despite how many children come into contact with these surfaces daily. While we know no public space can ever be completely free from germs or illness, we strongly believe children deserve cleaner environments that are maintained with greater care and attention.

This experience became one of the biggest reasons we grew passionate about playground cleaning, community awareness, and encouraging conversations around healthier play spaces for local families across Hawaii.
